You all must have heard the name of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is run by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development. Residential co-education is provided to the children in this school. Children are given complete free education. There is no fee of any kind. Navodaya Vidyalaya is a residential school, in this school children are provided free hostel education. Education is given by keeping the students in the school. Food, clothes, uniform, book-copy, pen-pencil, shoe-stocking, etc., other daily needs like oil, soap, surf, shampoo, brush-Colgate, etc. are given.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is also known as Navodaya Vidyalaya. Navodaya Vidyalaya is a fully residential co-educational school run by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. How to get admission to Navodaya Vidyalaya?

Admission to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is done through an entrance test. If you come from an economically weaker section of rural area and want to study in Jaap Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, then you have to clear Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam (JNV Entrance Exam). Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exam is conducted at the district level. If you want to enroll in Navodaya Vidyalaya, then while studying in class V, you can apply for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission. Admission is done in three classes in this school, class 6th, 9th, and 11th.

  • If you want to take admission in the 6th class, then you have to apply for the JNV entrance exam while studying 5th class.
  • The application for the entrance examination to be held for the students of class 5 is online.
  • To get admission in 9th class, the JNV entrance exam has to be given while studying 8th class.

How many seats are there in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya?

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is mainly for the children of rural areas. Children from economically backward families of rural areas are admitted to this school.
  • In which at least 75% of seats are available for rural children.
  • Seats are reserved for the children of SC and ST community (SC/ST) in the district in proportion to their population.
  • 1/3 of the seats are filled by girl students.
  • 3% of seats are reserved for disabled children.
  • An entrance test is conducted for class 5 students for admission, for which the application process is online.
  • Applicant student must be studying in class 5 of a government school or government recognized school
