The main post tweeted from a record called Riley Jace, contained a nine-second clasp of an altered Wikipedia page that said, "The Annabelle doll got away on August 14, 2020, at 3am in The Warren's Occult Museum in Connecticut, USA."

The subsequent post, made hours after the fact from a record called Zach, repeated that Annabelle had gotten away from her "confine". 


"This is Annabelle. Both posts went viral on Twitter as netizens were left in an utter state of shock.

Now, now. For all those who are trying to figure out the truth behind these posts, do note that Annabelle has not escaped the museum

Before long the posts became famous online via web-based media, Ed and Lorraine Warren's child-in-law Tony Spera delivered a video on YouTube and said that Annabelle was in the historical center and had not gotten away. 

"I'm in here, in the historical center in view of the bits of hearsay that Annabelle has gotten away. I'm here to reveal to you something. I couldn't say whether you're going to need to hear this or not, however, Annabelle didn't get away. Annabelle's alive. All things considered, I shouldn't say alive.
